vegan mofo: grilled kohlrabi

this was my first year trying kohlrabi, and i was totally impressed.

status: needs enhancement.

why i'm including it: this was actually really tasty - we put in on the grill in a foil pouch with some grilling spices and green peppers. it was okay, but lacked something by itself. my plan is to make it again and serve it as a condiment on something - like vegan brats.

would i make it again: as soon as the spring time rolls around, it'll be on my blog.

the grilled kohlrabi looks excellent! i see kohlrabi at the farmer's market in the cooler months, but i haven't been brave enough to try it out. i don't know what i'd do with it - but now i do. might have to give one a try and fire up the grill. :)

I've had kohlrabi once, and it was okay. Sorta weird. But okay.

That sounds like a great way to try kohlrabi...it's sort of one of those veggies that you look at and say: What am I supposed to do with this?

Sounds good; I'm going to try it.

Kohlrabi is weird - it's like a cross between water melon and potato.
Not that there's anything wrong with weird.....

They have in the rack in a foil pouch with some spices and roasted green peppers. It was fine, but there was something in itself. They plan to do it again and serve as a condiment on something as a vegan brats.
