she brought me green tea soy dream - a flavour i had never tried. and yum, i am so a fan! she also brought me two awesome bottles of bolthouse farms smoothies - again, a first for me. the vanilla chai is so awesome and sorta reminds me a little of silk nog. she left me an adorable card as well - who wouldn't be cheered up by that pup? also included were two fiction novels (she's trying to crack my staunch non-fiction stance), and some house dvds...she's been great friend over the years. she taught me how to roll sushi the first time, and can do an awesome inside out roll. anyways, i just wanted to say thank you, kim! (we are the two with bright pink paper crowns on after a big sushi party).
ps - she often accompanies me on my restaurant review dinners, but i just realized there are no pics of her on there. but that will change. :)

I hope you feel better soon. I'm sorry you are going through such a rough patch, but I'm glad you've got such great friends to help you get through. Feel better fast!

What an awesome friend! Feel better soon!
P.S. Water for Elephants was great!
Sorry to hear about the accident! As for the care package - I am also a HUGE fan of the BF Chai Latté. I especially love it for smoothies. !/2 banana, some frozen fruit and just enough chai to whir it up with. Delicious.
Hope you feel better soon!
Kim is one helluva friend! i'm so happyfaced she made you smile and brought over lots of awesomeness to cheer you up when things were really rough. that stinks that you had to go through so much after your accident, miss v.! :( being stuck on your couch and having to sleep upright sounds like no fun at all. i hope you're 100% super soon!
also: i'm jealous of the inside-out roll. someday i shall master it. ah ha ha! i'm with Lauren, Water for Elephants was awesome. i'm not a big fiction fan myself, but i really enjoyed it!
Hope you feel better soon !
Oh man, here's hoping for a speedy recovery!
I usually just lurk on your blog for the great recipes, but I had to comment when I saw this post. Sorry to hear about all of that... Take good care of yourself. I was in an accident last year that was pretty stressful. (Hit and run by a--get this--surgeon!) Glad to hear you have such a great friend!
Water for Elephants is a terrific book, by the way!
